Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Corner View Ventures Pvt Ltd ("PawPost", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the PawPost mobile app and getpawpost.com (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

PawPost is a private, family pet-photo app. Your photos and videos are shared only with the family members you invite — never made public. We show ads (via Google AdMob) to keep PawPost free, but we never sell your personal data, and we never share your photos, videos, or messages with advertisers.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account details: your name, email address, username, and (optionally) a profile photo.
  • Authentication: if you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from that provider. We never receive your password.
  • Content: the photos, videos, captions, comments, and "boops" you add.
  • Pet details: your pet's name, type (dog/cat/other), and optionally breed and date of birth.
  • Support messages and feedback you send us.

Information collected automatically

  • Device & push tokens: a push-notification token so we can deliver alerts and widget updates to your devices.
  • Device & usage data: device type, operating system, app version, and your time-zone offset (used to send reminders at a sensible local hour).
  • Diagnostics: crash and error logs to keep the app working.

For details on cookies, SDKs, and device identifiers, see our Cookie & Tracking Technologies Policy.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide the core Service — uploading, syncing, and displaying pet photos to your family and on home-screen widgets.
  • To send notifications you've enabled (new posts, boops, comments, reminders).
  • To operate family groups, invitations, and account management.
  • To keep the Service safe — including reviewing reported content and enforcing our Terms and Community Guidelines.
  • To respond to support requests and improve the app.
  • To show ads (via Google AdMob) and measure their performance, as described in Section 5.

3. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

Where the GDPR applies, we process your information to perform our contract with you (providing the Service), on the basis of your consent (e.g. push notifications and personalized advertising — which you can withdraw any time), and for our legitimate interests (keeping the Service secure, functional, and supported by non-personalized ads).

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

  • With your family group: content you post is visible to the members of the groups you join.
  • With service providers (processors) who run our infrastructure under contract:
    • Google Firebase (Google LLC) — authentication, database, file storage, push delivery, and hosting.
    • Mux, Inc. — video processing and streaming for video posts.
  • With our advertising partner Google AdMob (Google LLC) — to show ads in the app (see Section 5). We share limited information (such as device/advertising identifiers and your pet's non-identifying attributes) with AdMob to deliver and measure ads; we do not give AdMob your photos, videos, or messages.
  • For legal reasons — if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.
  • In a business transfer — e.g. a merger or acquisition, subject to this policy.

5. Advertising

PawPost is supported by ads, delivered through Google AdMob (Google LLC). Ads currently appear on the Pets tab and may appear elsewhere (such as the Memories feed) in future releases. We keep ads out of your private content.
  • Google AdMob: ads are served by Google AdMob. To deliver and measure ads, AdMob and Google may collect device and advertising identifiers, coarse usage data, and similar information through their SDK. See how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
  • Contextual pet targeting: we may share your pet's non-identifying attributes — type, breed, and age range — with AdMob to show more relevant ads (for example, food for a senior cat). These attributes describe your pet, not you.
  • App Tracking Transparency (iOS): on Apple devices we present the App Tracking Transparency prompt, and we do not allow tracking across other companies' apps or websites unless you grant permission. If you decline, you'll see non-personalized ads.
  • Consent (EEA/UK): where required, we show a consent prompt (Google's User Messaging Platform) before personalized ads are served.
  • Your choices: you can opt out of personalized ads via your device's ad settings and our in-app controls, and we honor "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" / Global Privacy Control signals where applicable. Your private photos, videos, and messages are never shared with advertisers.

6. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account (see Section 9), we delete your profile, credentials, and personal data, and remove you from your family groups. Content in a shared family group that has other members may remain visible to that family as part of their shared history; groups where you are the only member are deleted entirely. Backups and logs are purged on a rolling basis.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted by security rules, and content is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard safeguards.

8. Children's privacy

PawPost is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your rights and choices

  • Access & deletion: you can delete your account and associated personal data at any time from Settings → Account control → Delete my account in the app. See our account & data deletion page for details, including how to request deletion without the app.
  • Notifications: manage or turn off push notifications in the app's Settings or your device settings.
  • Blocking: you can block other members so their content is hidden from you.
  • Advertising choices: you can opt out of personalized ads (see Section 5) and use your device's ad-tracking controls.
  • GDPR / CCPA-CPRA rights: depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, port, or delete your data, and to object to certain processing. We do not sell your personal information for money; to the extent sharing identifiers with our ad partner for personalized ads is considered a "sale" or "share" under U.S. state laws, you can opt out using the controls in Section 5 or by emailing us. To exercise any right, email us.

10. Links to other websites and services

The Service may link to or integrate third-party websites and services (such as Google and Apple sign-in). We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices — please review their own policies. This Privacy Policy applies only to PawPost.

11. International transfers

Our providers may process and store data on servers outside your country, including in the United States and other regions. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date; significant changes (such as new ad placements or analytics) may also be announced in the app.
