Cookie & Tracking Technologies Policy
Last updated: June 18, 2026
This policy explains how Corner View Ventures Pvt Ltd ("PawPost", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on getpawpost.com and in the PawPost mobile app. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. "Similar technologies" include local storage and, in mobile apps, software development kits (SDKs) and device identifiers. We use the term "technologies" to cover all of these.
2. Our website
The PawPost website uses only what's needed to load and display the pages. We do not currently use advertising or third-party analytics cookies on the website. The site loads a web font from Google Fonts to render its typography; this involves a request to Google's servers but does not set tracking cookies.
3. Our mobile app
The app doesn't use browser cookies, but it does use SDKs and device identifiers to function:
- Google Firebase — authentication (keeping you signed in), the database and storage that hold your pets and posts, push notifications (which require a device push token), and crash/diagnostics reporting. These are essential to the app working.
- Device identifiers — used to deliver notifications to the right device and to diagnose problems.
- Google AdMob (Google LLC) — serves the ads that keep PawPost free. AdMob's SDK uses device and advertising identifiers and usage data to deliver and measure ads.
4. Categories of technologies
| Essential | Sign-in, security, core app functionality. Always on. |
| Functional | Remembering preferences and delivering notifications. |
| Analytics | Understanding crashes and basic usage to improve the app (via Firebase). |
| Advertising | Interest-based ads, frequency capping, and measurement, via Google AdMob (see below). |
5. Advertising
6. Your choices
- Notifications: turn off push notifications in the app's Settings or your device settings.
- Device ad controls: reset or limit your advertising identifier in your phone's settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking / Apple Advertising; Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads).
- Website: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though our site sets no tracking cookies to begin with.
- Personalized ads: you can opt out of personalized advertising in the app and via your device's ad settings, and you can use industry opt-outs such as the Digital Advertising Alliance and Network Advertising Initiative. Opt-outs are device-specific and must be repeated on each device.
7. Changes
We may update this policy as our technologies change (for example, if we add analytics or advertising). We'll post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date.
